Banana Ice Cream

It looks so tasty, you should make it!!
Every now and then you come across a recipe that you just can't believe how easy is and how great it tastes. Enter homemade Banana Ice Cream! Now, it's not your typical ice cream. For one thing, there is very little lactose in it and by all accounts you can't call it Ice Cream. Most people love ice cream but depending on who makes your favorite of choice, the ingredients aren't all that good for you. For example one of my favorites is Ben and Jerry's Chubby Hubby and the ingredients list go like this:
  • Cream, Skim Milk, Liquid Sugar (Sugar, Water), Water, Sugar, Peanuts, Enriched Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Nicotinic Acid, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Coconut Oil, Egg Yolks, Wheat And Malt Barley Flour Extract, Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Corn Oil, Milk, Chocolate Liquor, Vanilla Extract, Butter (Cream, Salt), Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Salt, Guar Gum, Natural Flavor, Soy Lecithin, Corn Syrup, Sodium Bicarbonate, Yeast, Carrageenan
Half of these ingredients I don't know what they are or why my ice cream has it in it.  Even the spell checker thinks one of the words is wrong. My new banana ice cream is so much better than that, it’s all natural and it’s really simple to make. So if you’re looking for a healthily, ice cream alternative then try this recipe, it doesn't disappoint.

One of the great things about this recipe from is that you can basically add anything you want to eat. It can be as unhealthy as you want it or as healthy. When we made it at home we added two scoops of peanut butter, chocolate was awesome!!!

Yum!!!!! Yum!!!! Yum!!!
1 large or 2 small frozen bananas
2 Tbsp. almond milk – add more if needed (The almond milk helps the bananas blend easier)

Add all ingredients into your blender and blend until a smooth “ice cream” consistency is formed.

If you use all the ingredients listed, it’s approximately 206 calories.
