Movie Soundtracks, They can be awesome!!!

Sometimes when you watch a movie you hear a song and you’re like...Yeah that's awesome, I must look it up later. So you stay through the credits, the song list is of course the last part of the credits, the theater has emptied out, the kid (I can say that now that I am over 30) is starting to clean the theater. You finally see the song list so you write down what song you think it is. You get home and log onto iTunes and find the song.

Sometimes you look at the song list on a soundtrack and say, "I like that band, and that one and that one." You count up the songs to see if you should buy them separately. Or if you’re lucky enough you buy a new phone and get $25 gift card to Google play and you can use it for the soundtrack.

Recently I purchased the soundtrack to Catching Fire based on the former paragraph. I was like ooo I like Imagine Dragon, Coldplay, The Lumineers, Ellie Goulding and Patti Smith. Also the last soundtrack was really good so why wouldn't this one.

In fact I really like this one much better. Some of the other artist on the album wrote great songs for the soundtrack. I have really enjoyed the songs from: Of Monsters and Men, Sia, The Weeknd, and Lorde and Christina Aguilera (yes I know what you’re thinking but it's important to remember she can actually sing, I mean she can sing)

Each song has a hauntingly sound to it. I'll leave a few songs here for you to listen to but I encourage you to seek out the music yourself, it's fantastic.

The first is The Weeknd: Devil May Cry

The second song is from Of Monsters and Men: Silhouettes
