Movie Review: Guardians of the Galaxy 2

It's been awhile since I have talked about movies but I have to confess, I love Marvel movies, even the Thor movies, which always seem to be the lower rated of the group. With that said, I loved this movie! Guardians is one of the best movies in the MCU. The characters are great, the story line was fun and who doesn't love toddler Groot!

This movie centers around the main character Peter Quill and his father figures, I know most of you reading this have already seen the movie but for those who haven't, I will try not to spoil it, and only talk about what the movie trailers have already shown. The movie surprisingly is about family and how you act in that family. When we last saw the Guardians they were saving the universe, now they are heroes for hire (although can you really hire a hero, aren't they suppose to do it anyway) and they, of course, being of criminal minds get themselves into trouble. They also tackle traffic of people (heavy topic, I know). To see how all of these stories play out, you need to watch the movie, if you can't see it in the theater then you have a few more months before it will be available to purchase or rent.

Other than the complex action sequences and really funny lines in the movie, you see some serious real life staring back at you. There are a few scenes in the down time from the action where the main characters get a level of emotional complexity that is just not seen in big, boisterous, blockbuster movies. As you watch the movie really pay attention to the subplots in the dialogue and quite moments.

To wrap up, I feel the need to include something funny, slightly related to the second Guardian's movie and that is the first Guardian's of the Galaxy's Honest Trailer...sooo funny!
